Haven’t been tumblr-ing (tumbling?) much lately .. been caught up in graduating, moving to nyc, and starting my new job!
So here I am. The Big City. I’m the designer at a public relations/market research firm called Group SJR. It’s kind of strange being the only designer, although I’m working closely with people who have good design sense, and I’ve been doing a lot of digital design. iPhone apps and websites, etc.
Doing all this work as an employee of a company has me wondering about things like .. do I own the work I’m creating? Am I allowed to claim it as my own? I want to post it, but I have a feeling I’m not really allowed to .. especially when the work is for some of the big clients we have. Perhaps only after it’s been released?
A while ago, I did some freelance work for petite alma (I wrote about them at the beginning of this tumblr) and asked about posting the work done there on my blog. I can post them after they’re being offered online, which I guess makes sense. You can find ‘em on wedding paper divas!
Simple farm : apparently having farm/ranch weddings is popular nowadays, so I was asked to create a series of little intricate line drawings of various farm icons.
Sweet chateau : similar to the farm series, this one was for vineyard weddings.
Plenty of other fun things I’d love to post .. but I guess those will have to wait.
It’s really kind of strange switching from school-world to real-world .. but I’m sure I’ll get used to it soon :)
